“Beau” Color. Inspired by the first, that love you never really get over, the heart-fluttering rushes of oxytocin, the hand-holding, love note passing, paperclip ring-exchanging, looking in someone’s eyes and knowing that they aren’t looking at you––they see you, reveling in the most ordinary moments, the way the night skies became an unforgettable dusky chocolate blue littered with tiny hidden stars, the way his dimples sunk deep into his cheeks as he said your name, and all that is innocent, pure, giddy, euphoric, and heartbreaking. I asked him if he loved me and he smiled and nodded yes.
